Time. It’s precious. Finite. Irretrievable.
What I make of the time I have will help build my legacy. I didn’t used to think about what I’d leave behind when I died. But with age and wisdom comes a heart understanding that life is finite, and maybe I do want to leave something of value behind.
Ten years ago my focus was on raising my children, so they would continue to spread kindness and compassion to the people around them.
Today, my children are all nearly grown and thinking about their own legacy, so I have time and energy to consider there may be something more. More kindness, compassion and gifts that I might share with others.
Over the last ten years my writing has been focused on health and wellness – I was first a nurse and nurse practitioner. As a ghostwriter, the focus of the content I wrote was defined by my clients. It was fun, interesting and I certainly learned a LOT.
At nearly the same time, God began taking me on a new journey of faith and understanding. Life seemed to be growing along two paths, simultaneously and beautifully.
Life is certainly a journey. It’s not a sprint, but rather an ultra-marathon filled with mountains and valleys.
I’m excited about this new journey – because every day is a new beginning. It’s a time when we have the opportunity to take on new challenges and live life differently than we ever have before.
I’m excited about sharing new stories. I hope you join me!
Christian.
My relationship with God, Jesus and the Holy Spirit is first in my life. As my trust in God has grown, so has peace and joy. I’ve come to understand that there is nothing more precious to me than peace. Peace in every storm, in every life circumstance.
Mother.
When I was young, I thought my life was my own- of course I didn’t have children yet. How little I knew! But although many of the decisions I’ve made have been to further the growth and development of my children, they have also brought me some of my greatest joys.
Author.
When I was 14 I announced to my family that someday I would make my living as a writer. I became a nurse and then nurse practitioner. But, my dream of becoming a writer came true 10 years ago and I haven’t looked back since.
