“Good fortune is what happens when opportunity meets with planning.”
~Thomas Edison

Have you ever …

I love planning.

In fact, my lists have lists.

But this time, my planning got messed up. I wasn’t organized like I usually am. I put MY plans on the back burner and paid attention to working with my clients.

Well, I kind of have to. As a single mom, I don’t have the choice to pick up on my plans if I’m not done with my client’s work.

If I don’t work, we don’t eat. It’s really that simple.

So, my best laid plans to got messed up.

My newest book is “How I Came to Know Jesus.” It’s an anthology of stories from people from around the world, and how they came to accept Jesus in their lives.

Over the years I’ve come to realize that the way I learn best – remember information best – is through stories. And I’ve heard my friends and family tell me the same thing.

So when God asked me to put together a book of stories about how people got to know Him, how could I refuse?

But, like most times in my life, LIFE seemed to get in the way. Until recently that is.

I had a good friend who was sick at home for several days. Somehow I had the time to go and care for him – and I still got my work done. Somehow I MADE the time.

Then God made a request that became An Army On Our Knees. It’s a call to action – a call to pray for our country and for the healing that only God ca bring.

And suddenly I realized that I do have the time. I have an hour here and another hour there. In the past, instead of using that time for what I was meant to do, I convinced myself that I NEEDED the time to get one more thing done, write one more article for a client, or relax for a few minutes.

Now I know that I MUST use that time to gather the stories, and compile the book that I know will bless others because it’s not my idea.

I can’t wait to see what God has in store!
